Ho Chi Minh to Hoi An

We crossed the Vietnamese land boarder all ok and arrived in Ho Chi Minh City to find a guesthouse for a few nights. We spent a couple of hours wandering the busy streets and trying out the traditional food before booking a day trip along the Mekong River. Seeing the Mekong was busy but amazing and really enjoyed the whole day!

We decided to move on to Dalat and explore the mountain side after being in the busy city. The weather was much colder and got a bit of a shock when we arrived the but the scenery was beautiful! We rented mopeds from our lovely hostel and done our own route of the ‘east rider tour’ for a day. We stopped at the Elephant Falls which was not quite what we expected and then made our way to Pongour Waterfall which was amazingly huge!!

Driving around these roads made it an adventure and was such a good day until we got caught in the massive daily down pour of rain around 2 o’clock! Eventually we made it back safe for hot showers and the hostels family dinner!

Everyone was telling us how good Canyoning was around the area so we decided to book onto a tour for the following day as we loved it in the Philippines. It was such a good and fun day abseiling, cliff jumping and going down natural rock water slides! The guides prepared a lovely lunch in the rain!!

We went out to the night market and ate at an amazing BBQ restaurant where you BBQ your own dinner on your table! It was so good!!

Our next stop was Hoi An and it was a long journey! 2 separate buses and long waits in between. But eventually we got there and it was heavenly! I fell in love with the town instantly, the colours, lanterns, people and atmosphere. All amazing. We spent 4 days biking to the beach, relaxing, eating amazing food and exploring the town and the markets at night. So far one of my favourite places we’ve been to.
